End of year wrap up
This was my part of my first post of the year:
This year, who knows? I'd like to spin more. I need more socks (when you wear your handknits everyday, they tend to wear a bit faster). I'd like to be a bit more social and get out of the house a bit more. I'd like to loose 50lbs (but I won't hold my breath on that one).
So, how'd I do?
Well, I took a few spinning classes and bought more drop spindles but I didn't really spin more. My fiber stash has grown by leaps and bounds and I haven't really spun up any of it. On the plus side, both wheels are in working condition, I've gotten better with a drop spindle (even if I haven't finished any of the fibers I've started) and both wheels are now downstairs in the living room. I'll keep working on that.
Sock wise. I joined the sock club run by The Loopy Ewe after making a deal with myself that I would knit up everything that came in (preferably for socks). Out of the five skeins, two skeins were turned into socks, one skein into a shawl, one into a pair of gloves and the last is currently sitting with some siblings that may get turned into a shawl. Two other skeins that were hanging out in the stash got turned into socks for a grand total of FOUR pairs. That's really pretty good for me.
Weight wise. I dropped 30 pounds, got tired of having to watch every single bite and stopped being careful. I've gained back 5 pounds for a grand total of -25. I'll take that.
Being more social.. eh.. next year.
