Update on George..

George went to go live on the raffle table at the International Transplant Nurse's Society conference.

George got lots of comments about how interesting he was.

George got _NO_ tickets in his bag in the first 24 hours.

I decided to place my tickets in there.. no way was I letting him go home with someone who would throw a ticket in just to win something.

George is coming home with me.

I'm debating where to hang him... my office at work, or my bathroom at home?

This is why I love knitters....

We come in all types... including those who have a sick and twisted (but normally functioning) minds.

Meet George II... (he's the second one I've made)

This is a wonderfully written pattern by CraftyHedgehog.  She thinks up some of the neatest stuff.. go look at her etsy site if you want to see all the wonderfully twisted patterns she has.

She was also kind enough to allow me to use her pattern to knit up George II as a donation for raffle.

Now... I went NUTS looking for a small cork board to pin him to.  I didn't want to use a real dissection tray (they kinda stink, even brand new).  I finally, (after about three weeks of hunting) had an epiphany and made my own using a cork tile and a 8x10 picture frame.

I need to make one of these to hang in my bathroom.

Is this still on...

I've been rather bad about posting here lately.  Seems that facebook is slowly killing the blog.  I wonder if it is just me or if other people are noticing this as well.

In the knitting world.. I'm almost done with my first ever sock made of Wollmeise 80/20.  The yarn is soft, the colors are intense.. but I do find that it's not plied tightly and splits when I'm trying to tink back or pick up stitches after frogging a few rows.  Guess we'll see how it wears.
